City, county, BNSF talk flood pumps


Officials from the railway company that runs through Havre met with city and county officials Monday to talk about another issue raised by recent flooding: the system that pumps storm water into the Milk River as needed.

"I became aware that these pumps are not adequate to serve in a time like this, " Mike Perrodin of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway said during Monday's meeting. "Is there going to be a plan put in place? "
