Daniel Thomas Geelan

Daniel Thomas Geelan of Missoula, Mont., born Oct. 13, 1962, in Miles City, Mont., chose, on Jan. 17, 2011, to join his beloved grandparents, Cora and Linden Wolfe; and son, Zachary Swede Nickels, in heaven.

Dan leaves behind his grieving parents, Tom and Linda Geelan of Havre, Mont. ; his "little" brother, William L. Geelan of Spokane, Wash. ; his love and special best friend, Kathy Mahoney of Missoula; his daughter, Chantille Janeece of Billings, Mont. ; his son, Ashton Drake of Troy, Mont. ; two grandchildren; Mackayla and Jaden of Billings; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a grandmother, Mary "Ole" Geelan of Plentywood, Mont. ; and a grandfather, Lloyd T. Geelan of Wyoming.

Dan was a very kind and loving man and had many friends in Montana. He will be remembered for his fun-loving nature, his quick humor, his constant willingness to help people, his intelligence and many abilities.

He was a fervent U of M Griz fan, loved the outdoors, the mountains of western Montana and dearly loved all the hiking, biking, water rafting and camping he shared with Kathy there.

Dan, Mom and Dad will always miss your daily phone calls and your "I love you guys" at the end of each call! We have many happy memories of our life with you. Go in peace, son, and know our hearts are so sad, and we will always miss you. We know you are now free of your pain!

No services are planned and cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
