Lenora Iverson

Lenora O. Iverson of Rutledge went to her heavenly home from complications of Alzeheimer's disease, March, 17, in Big Sandy, Mont.

Lenora passed away peacefully at her home with her children at her side.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Gwen Kane of Big Sandy, Mont., her daughter, Marilyn Williamson of Chinook, son, James (Sharon) Stave of Big Sandy, daughter, Judy (Joe) Jurenka Sr. of Helena, son, Scott (Sue) Stave of Souyh Dakota, son, Ron (Kelly) Sternberg of Kodiak, Alaska; sixteen grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mavis (Pete) Van Matre of Longmont, Calif.

Preceeding her in death are Russell Stave (1953), John Sternberg (1982), Bill Rutledge (2001) parents; five brothers, six sisters; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Lenora was born to Ole and Olina Iverson of Jan. 28, 1921, in Bagley, Minn. She came from a large family with a lot of happy memories. She had seven sisters and five brothers. Lenora attended Bagley schools. After graduation, she married Russell Stave in 1939. Russell was a three-year graduate from Crookston Agricultual College in Minnesota, They owned a dairy farm, and during those years, raised their five children. Following Russell's death in 1953, they moved to Great Falls, Mont., where she was employed at a convalescent home. It was there thaty Lenora met John Sternberg, while visiting his brother, Walter. They married in 1956, and moved to the farm at Eagleton, south of Big Sandy. John and Lenora had one son, Ron Sternberg.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Lutheran church in Big Sandy.
