Breaking Sports: Lights 55, Rocky 52

It was a different game than Friday night's romp over nationally-ranked Carroll College, but the MSU-Northern men's basketball team found a way to win. Northern overcame a poor shooting night to outlast Rocky Mountain College 55-52 Saturday night at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse.

The Lights struggled to make 3-pointers all night long, but sophomore Devin Jackson made a crucial one with his team down by three points with 2:12 to play. Jackson's three tied the game up and gave the Lights enough momentum to pull ahead for the win and improve to 4-1 in the Frontier Conference and 15-5 overall. Joe Simpson had a critical double-double for the Lights with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Jackson added 13 points.

The Lights now go on the road for games against Westminster and LC State this weekend.
