Hi-Line Football Roundup

North Star's Jordy Donoven is tackled by a Valier defender during a Six-Man football game last Wednesday in Rudyard.

On Wednesday there were several prep football games taking place across the state. Four of those games included teams from the Hi-Line, and when the dust settled, some had made the postseason and others did not.

In Class C 8-Man action, the No. 1 Chinook Sugarbeeters maintained their level of excellence with yet another win.

The Beeters captured the Northern C with a 58-12 win over Sunburst in Chinook. And with the win, the reigning Class C State Champion Beeters improved to 5-0 in league play and 8-0 overall.

Chinook grabbed 38 first-quarter points to put the game away before it really ever had a chance to begin. The Beeters then put up six in the second, eight in the third and six more points in the fourth. The Beeters' defense gave up just one score in the third quarter and one in the fourth.

Ben Stroh and Zach Molyneaux led the Beeters scoring barrage once again. Stroh rushed for a 54-yard score and a 12-yard score, while Molyneaux tossed two TD passes from 35-yards and one from 21-yards out. Brandon Riphenburg was on the receiving end of two of Molyneaux's scoring passes.

In the first round of the playoffs No. 1 Chinook will face the No. 4 Culbertson-Bainville team out of the east.
