Northern C Girls: Chinook 63, Box Elder 49

The Chinook girls basketball team proved beyond a doubt that its District 9C champioship was no accident. On Friday afternoon at the Northern C girls tournament in Great Falls, the Sugarbeeters crushed the Box Elder Bears 63-49 behind big games from Taryn Norby and the rest of the Beeters. Friday's loser-out game was a rematch of last week's 9C championship game and the win moved Chinook into today's girls consolation game, which is set for 7 p.m. The Beeters (14-9) will take on Winifred-Roy for third place today. Chinook beat the Outlaws by one point in Wednesday's first round.

Friday's loss ended Box Elder's season with a 19-4 record.
