After nearly two years of researching an industry that got off on a bad foot at Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation in 2009, the Chippewa Cree Tribe has entered a business that already is paying off with jobs and money for the tribe and for local projects.
Since Plain Green LLC started operation in a call center on the reservation, just southeast of Box Elder, it brought in gross revenues of more than $2 million, paying about 40 percent of that, $896,000, to the tribal government as a source of revenue in just six months.
