Breaking Sports: CMR 55, Pony boys 33; CMR 61, Pony girls 32

The fourth-ranked Class AA CMR Rustlers broke open a three-point halftime game to beat the Havre High boys basketball team 55-33 Saturday at the HHS gymnasium. The Ponies trailed just 16-13 at the half, but the Rustlers went on a 18-6 run to take control of the game. Anfernee Standing Rock and Logan Connor combined to score 26 points for Havre, which fell to 5-8 on the season. The Ponies travel to Lewistown on Friday night, then host Butte Central at the Havre Central Gym next Saturday.

The Havre High girls also fell to CMR, 61-32 Saturday afternoon in Great Falls. The Ponies are 3-10 on the season and will be home to face Lewistown on Friday night.
