Breaking Sports: Skylights swept by powerful Warriors

The final home matches of the season didn't go as planned for the MSU-Northern volleyball team. Less than 24 hours after getting swept at the hands of Westminster College, the No. 9 Lewis-Clark State Warriors did the same to the Skylights. The Warriors defeated Northern by scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-22 Saturday at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse. The match was the home finale for the Skylights and was also Senior Day.

Hillary Isleifson had eight kills, 14 digs, one block and one ace to lead Northern. Samantha Hutcheson added five kills in the loss. Northern fell to 5-7 in Frontier Conference play and 13-11 overall. The Skylights will finish the regular season this weekend at Carroll College and Rocky Mountain College.
