Pioneers dominate Six-Man North and All-State honors

After a run to the Class C Six-Man semifinals for a second consecutive year, the Big Sandy Pioneers dominated the Six-Man All-State honors from the Northern Division.

Big Sandy's Jessey Bailey was one of seven Pioneers to receiver Class C Six-man All-State honors for the 2011 season.

Seven Pioneers earned North Division and Six-Man All-State honors for the 2011 season.

Trevor Lackner, Big Sandy's quarterback and defensive back earned the nod for a second straight season, while lineman Kaden Beck and Dallas Briese also made the list. Joining that trio were running backs Jessey Bailey and Justin Stevens, as well as ends Lane Martin and Colter Darlington. Briese, Darlington and Stevens are seniors while the other Pioneers are juniors and will be back next season.

Also receiving all-state and all-conference honors for the third straight year was North Star's Jordy Donoven. Donoven played running back this season as well as linebacker. Last year, he led the Knights from the quarterback position.
