Brian John Wright

Brian John Wright, formerly of Havre, passed away June 28, 2012, in Brighton, Colo. Brian was a long-time resident of Havre, living here from 1976 through 1997.

Brian was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Sept. 18, 1944. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1951 and settled in Chardon, Ohio. He graduated from Chardon High School in 1962 and entered the United States Air Force. Brian served in Vietnam as a munitions maintenance expert at the rank of sergeant. After his tour, he was an aerial and medical photographer for the U.S. government in Washington, D.C., and Denver.

In 1976, Brian and his family moved to Havre, where he worked in construction and at UBC Lumber.

He attended Northern Montana College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in construction engineering.

In 1997 Brian was involved in a vehicle accident, and sustained injuries that would handicap and hospitalize him for the remaining years of his life.

Brian is survived by his mother, Violet; sisters, Valerie (Gene) and Sharon (David) of Colorado; brother, Wayne (Toni) of Utah; daughter, Erin, (MacKenzie, Ailis, and Cavan) of Colorado; son, Bryce (Laura) of Montana; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, John.

Brian loved Montana and friends in Havre. He enjoyed hunting and camping and being a part of the Hi-Line and Big Sky Country. Friends in Montana, please raise a glass to Brian. He'll be watching!
