Local Bowling Report: Nine-pin, Nop-Tap tourney slated for Hi-Line Lanes

Hi-Line Lanes will be running a six game 9–pin No-Tap Singles Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. This will be a handicapped tournament with a max of 25 pins per game. Total score with handicap will be the winner. Entries will determine how many places will be paid. The cost will be $35 per bowler. A sign-up sheet is available at the desk.

A big thank-you to the 120 bowlers who came out and bowled in the annual New Year's Eve Jackpot. A great time was had by all.

The Food Bank promotion is still running. You may bowl one free game for every can of food you bring to the lanes with a max of three games per visit. So far to date we have received enough cans of food to fill a 33 gallon container. It concludes on Jan. 18th.

Junior bowling will resume on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

TOURNEY TRAIL: The P.B.A. resumed on New Year's Day with the final spot for the WorldSeries of Bowling being spoken for by Sean Rash, who came out on top after battling Pete Weber, Nathan Bohr,= Ciminelli, for three games with a score of 222 for Weber, and 246 for Rash in the final game.

TIP OF THE WEEK: This is the time of year to check our equipment after bowlilng for a half of season. Check your shoes for foreign objects on the bottom, shoe laces, check your bowling balls to see if they should be resurfaced or jst need cleaning in a ball machine. Also if you wear a wrist brace make sure it is in tact and not torn anywhere.
