St. Labre ends Big Sandy's season
From the Hi-Line, the Big Sandy Pioneers were the only local team to make a boys state basketball tournament this season. But even after an extended season, they too returned home with no hardware.
This past week, the Pioneers went 0-2 at the Class C state tournament in Billings, losing to two very talented teams. On Thursday the Twin Bridges defeated the Pioneers 80-56, and on Friday St. Labre defeated the Pioneers 70-73. With the two losses, the Pioneers finished their season with an 18-7 record overall.
