Box Elder grad hopes to win modeling contest

A freshman at the University of Montana is hoping friends in Hill County will help him with his hoped-for modeling career.

Harold Whitford Jr., an 18-year-old Box Elder High School graduate, is a nursing student at Missoula but aspires to be a model.

Caesar Elite Modeling Agency in New York City is holding a contest to see which potential model can get the most likes on its Facebook page. Whitford thinks he can, and he's putting up a good show so far.

The contest ends of Monday, so he's asking friends to join in the effort.

"Even though I have always had the smarts," said Whitford, the salutatorian at Box Elder, "people have told me that I have the looks as well."

"I would love to be a model, because although I can be quite modest, deep down I am quite conceited," said Whitford, a faithful follower of fashion.

If he wins the contest, he gets a round-trip ticket to New York City, and his picture will be placed on Caeser's billboard on Times Square for the New Year's Eve celebration.

So he is asking people to help:

"So, literally, all people have to do, if they want to, is go to the link of the photo and just hit 'like,' and also, if they want to, 'like' the page, which will also increase my chances of winning," he said.
