Edward John Lohman, 51, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at his home, after battling cancer.

His wake service will begin at 2 p. m. on Sunday, with the rosary at 7 p. m. Sunday, at Rocky Boy Catholic Church. His funeral Mass will be 10 a. m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Rocky Boy Catholic Church, with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre at noon with full military honors.

Memorials in Ed's honor may be made to a charity of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Ed was born April 4, 1961, in Anaconda, Mont., to William and Marian (Stanaway) Lohman. He attended primary school in Anaconda. He moved with his family to Great Falls, where he graduated from Great Falls High School. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in July 1979. He attended the Community College of the Air Force and obtained his degree in computers. He was honorably discharged in July 1991. Ed married Ionia Rose Bauer on May 11, 1990, in Havre. Together they made their home in Havre and raised their family.

Ed worked for Office Equipment for a few years and then started his own business, Affordable Computing Enterprises. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing in the Bear Paw Mountains and working on computers. He was a kind and generous person who enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Lohman.

Ed is survived by his wife of 22 years Ionia Lohman of Havre; his mother, H. Marian Lohman of Springfield, Ore. ; his children, daughters, Helen, Ambrosia, Natasha and Chelsea Lohman all of Havre, and sons, William Lohman of Missoula, Mont., Donald, Jacob and Kirkland Lohman all of Havre; sisters, Marian Lohman and Paula Stufflebean of Mesa, Ariz. ; Catherine and William Lindemann of Kirkland, Wash. ; Elizabeth and Ben Forbes of Seattle, WA. brothers, William Lohman of Eugene, Ore., David and Sherry Lohman of Iowa City, Iowa, Daniel and Flora Lohman of Coos Bay, Ore. ; and James and Laura Lohman of Portland, Ore. ; two grandchildren, Mabel Lohman of Havre, Mont., and Brody Sweet of Missoula, Mont.
