Senior Classic held in Rudyard

The annual Senior Classic Class C All-Star Games were held in Rudyard this past Tuesday.

On the girls side, the Light Team beat the Dark Team 63-61 in double overtime. Box Elder's Aricka Wolf Chief hit the game-winning shot with five seconds left in the second OT and was named the game's MVP. Wolf Chief scored 23 points, while the Light also got 10 from Shelby Lipp and eight from Haylee Anderson. Alex Watterud scored 19 points and Box Elder's Crystal Stamper added 15 from the Dark, which also got 12 by Stina Haaland and six from Jenni Ghekiere, both of C/J-I.

In the boys game, the Light beat the Dark 80-76 in overtime.

Jordy Donoven of North Star scored 21 points to lead the Dark. Box Elder's Jesse Ramos added 16 and Chinook's Kaylan Johnson scored 12. The Light got 21 points from MVP Jeff Wanken of C/J-I. Big Sandy's Justin Stevens added 18 and Chinook's Barry Murnion scored nine.

Ramos won the boys 3-point shooting contest over HLP's Lex Molina, while Wolf Chief topped HLP's Kristie Runs Above in the girls 3-point contest. The team of Watterud, Nolan Werk of HLP, Katie Owen of Big Sandy and Molina won the Shooting Stars Competition.
