Skylights add post player

Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Maurisha McKissic to join the Skylight program this fall. McKissic is a 6-1 post player from Lancaster, California.

McKissic is a 2010 graduate of Lancaster High School, where she was a three-time First Team All-Golden League honoree. he played her last two seasons at Antelope Valley College. This year, she averaged 12.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 55 percent from the field.

According to Mouat, McKissic is a strong inside presence.

"Maurisha has great hands and is very, very strong on the block,"Mouat said. "She finishes well inside and is a great rebounding presence. She will add depth to our inside game immediately."
