Highland Park residents discuss Neighborhood Watch

At a Neighborhood Watch meeting at Optimist Park Tuesday evening, organizer Penny Velk encourages her neighbors in the Highland Park area to get to know each other and help each other through this difficult time since a series of vandalisms have occurred in the area over the past few months. "We are all here because we want something to change," Velk said. Velk said she has had her windows smashed in her vehicles, her garage and home were burglarized, her vehicles have been rifled through and her neighbors' property has been tagged.
