9C Girls Update: Chinook moves on to championship game

The Chinook girls basketball team will get its chance to defend the 9C title it won last year. Thursday night at the District 9C girls tournament in Havre, the Sugarbeeters took care of semifinal opponent Big Sandy 58-41 to advance to Saturday night's championship game. The Beeters got a game-high 18 points from Makhayla Farmer. Chinook will get a rematch with Box Elder Saturday night at 6 p.m. Big Sandy will have to turn around and play Hays-Lodge Pole in a loser-out game Friday at 4:30 p.m.
