Hi-Line Volleyball Roundup: 6C East going down to the wire

Time is starting to tick away on the 2012 high school volleyball season. And in just over a week's time, area teams will be embroiled in district tournaments as postseason play begins.

But this past week was another wild one with action all up and down the Hi-Line.

Things started off rocky for the Chinook Sugarbeeters, who lost a tough four-set, nonconference match to the Class B Malta M-Ettes on Tuesday night. Chinook was finally able to shake off two losses earlier in the week by beating 6C West rival Sunburst on the road Saturday night. The Beeters defeated the Refiners by scores of 25-8, 25-23 and 25-12 in a dominating performance.

Makhayla Farmer and Katelyn Neibauer each had 10 kills for the Beeters, while Hannah Weber and Mariah Swank each earned 10 assists,.

In Class B action over the weekend, things didn't go well for either Rocky Boy or Harlem.
