Tech, Westminster players honored

The Frontier Conference basketball season is under way, sort of. And the full-time season is right around the corner.

This past week saw players from Montana Tech and Westminster College earn player of the week honors.

Tech's Adam Greger was named Frontier Men's Player of the Week. Greger is a 6-6 sophomore forward from Florence. The Orediggers beat the University of Mobile 64-57.

Greger scored 19 points and had six rebounds. Westminster's Cydney Tibbitts earned Women's Player of the Week honors. Tibbitts is a 6-11 senior forward from Pasco, Wash. The-fifth ranked Griffins beat No. 14 Rogers State on the road 68-65. In the victory, she scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

MSU-Northern's Nikki Tresch was nominated for the women's award this week. The Northern men were idle.

UGF's Siers Tiernan was named the Frontier Wrestler of the Week.
