Three Lights named NAIA All-Americans

Three Montana State University-Northern football players were recently honored as NAIA All-American's for their 2011 season.

All three Lights earned second-team honors at their respective positions. Cervenka (OL) and Silva (RB) earned second-team honors on offense, while Andrews (DL) was second-team defense. It was the second straight season in which Andrews has been named an NAIA All-American.

Carroll College had five players make the list led by former Malta standout Chance Demarais, who earned first-team honors along with offensive lineman Zach Zosel. Junior offensive lineman Connor Goudreau was named to the second team, while senior receiver Matt Ritter and junior safety Brian Strobel rounded out the third team.

Eastern Oregon had Chris Ware (QB, 2nd Team), Will Hunter (OL, 3rd Team) and Dillon Bedford (TE, HM) make the list, Montana Tech had Pat Hansen (RB, 3rd Team), while Rocky Mountain College had Nick Knell (K, 2nd Team), A.J. Tolbert (WR, 3rd Team) and Eric Buer (KR, HM) honored. UM-Western's Yim Sirbenjakul was an honorable mention kicker.
