Record high temperatures possible today

The summery spring weather is continuing today with the forecast for Havre calling for a possible record high temperature.

The National Weather Service reported at 10 a. m. today that the forecast for Havre was for a high of 87 degrees. The record was set in 1998 with a high of 85.

The record low was nearly 60 degrees chillier, with a temperature of 28 degrees set in 1967.

The forecast low for tonight is 49 degrees.

The forecast calls for highs in the mid- to upper-80s across Blaine County and south to Big Sandy as well, although the prediction drops into the lower 80s to the west of Havre.

The temperatures in the Weather Service forecast call for highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s through most of the week, with chillier highs of the upper 50s and lower 60s Friday through the weekend and lows in the 30s.

The forecast does not call for much precipitation through the week, although there is a chance of showers or thundershowers through much of the forecast.
