Aaron Thomas Utsler

A beloved husband, dad, grandpa and friend, Aaron Thomas Utsler, 68, of Havre, passed away at home of congestive heart failure surrounded by his family. A celebration of Aaron's life will be held at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel at 5:30 p. m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, with Rebecca Cox officiating. Military honors will be held outside on the front lawn. A fellowship will be held immediately after at the Eagle's Club in Havre. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Aaron was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Lebanon, Mo. to Sylvan and Mildred Utsler. He moved to Havre and met the love of his life Peggy (Becker) Utsler. They married in the spring of 1988. Together they owned and operated AAA Carpet and Upholstery for several years in Havre before moving to Dupuyer in 1995. While in Dupuyer they opened the Bears Den Restaurant. Later they brought the Bears Den restaurant to the Atrium in Havre, making Havre their permanent home.

The most enjoyable times of Aaron's life were spent with his grandchildren. He loved to take them fishing and camping, not afraid to start a campfire anywhere. When at home with his wife, he enjoyed playing Scrabble and to this day he has not lost a game to her. If you ever drove by the house you would always see Aaron sitting out on the bench on their front porch relaxing and watching people go by.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred, a son, Aaron Utsler, Jr., and a daughter Lisa Stuckey.

Aaron is survived by his wife Peggy (Becker) Utsler. Daughters: Tara (Stuart Swanson) Brandon, and Anjie Vandenbos both of Havre, Mont., Angela Utsler of Kewanee, Ill., Sons: Wade Russell and Greg (Melissa) Russell both of Havre, and Levi (Kimberly) Utsler of Hutchinson, Kan., Grandchildren: Georgie, Laci, Chance, Jarrid, RayAn, Taya, Andrew, Jayden, Ty, Michael, Maci, Brooklyn, and Abbie. Great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Tarrence, Emma, Talan, and Franki.
