Community dinner set for Tuesday

Once again, people will celebrate the holiday at a community dinner in Havre, with the annual Community Christmas Dinner set to roll at the Havre Eagles Club Tuesday.

Preperations are continuing today with Jerry and Scott Bergren also set to be at PJ's Restaurant and Casino very early Tuesday preparing food, with home deliveries rolling out Christmas morning and the main dinner starting at the Eagles about 11 a. m.

Volunteers help staff the event, which is free, though free-will donations are accepted to help cover expenses.

Gary & Leo's Fresh Foods prepares the turkeys. Scott Bergren said work will start today getting them carved to be served at the main meal, and taken out in meals delivered to homebound people.

People who want a meal delivered need to call the North Central Senior Center at 265-5464 no later than 4 p. m. today to request delivery.

Deliveries will be made by about 10 a. m.Tuesday, with the main meal running at the Eagles from about 11 a. m. to 2 p. m.
