Clifford Tom Duran Sr.

Clifford Tom Duran Sr., 76, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at his daughter Robin's home in Rocky Boy, Mont. His wake service will begin Sunday and continue through Monday, with his traditional Native American service being held 11 a.m. Tuesday, all at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy. Burial will be held in the Parker Cemetery on Duck Creek Road. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Clifford Tom Doran

Clifford was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Harlem, Mont., to Leo and Elizabeth (St. Pierre) Duran Sr. He was raised and educated in Rocky Boy. He married Doris Ann Trombley on Nov. 28, 1961, in Browning, Mont. The couple made their home in Rocky Boy and raised their family. Clifford and owned and operated Cliff's Petrolane. He and Doris moved to Siren, Wis., in 1992. He returned to Rocky Boy after he became ill so he could be near family.

Clifford enjoyed playing handgame, fishing and hunting, working with horses and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Caroline Duran.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Duran of Siren, Wis .; his daughters, Colleen (Al Wilson) Sure Chief of Browning, Robin (Alfred) Parker of Rocky Boy, Karla (Mike) Devine of Tsuu'Tina Alberta, Canada, Rhonda Duran of Siren, Wis., and Rikki (Tim Nault) Duran of Rocky Boy; one son, Clifford Tom Duran Jr. of Hot Springs, Mont .; his sisters, Rosie Duran, Shirley Descharme, Aggie Morsette and Elaine (Earl) Nault, all of Rocky Boy; brothers, Manny (Linda) Duran of Rocky Boy, Leo Duran Jr. of Great Falls, Robert (Roxanne) Duran of Rocky Boy and Joe (Marlene)Duran of Fort Hall, Idaho; 21 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren
