Havre High swimmers hope to finish strong in Helena

The Havre High boys and girls swimming teams have just one meet left before the postseason,

And it will be a tough one.

On Saturday, the Blue Ponies will be in Helena for the Helena Invitational, the final regular season meet of the year.

The Helena Invite will be made up of most Class AA powers, including the Helena Bengals, who house some of the top AA swimmers in the state.

But the Ponies are used to the stiff competition and shown they can rise to the challenge this season. The HHS boys are coming off an outstanding fourth-place finish at the Missoula Invite last Saturday, while the Pony girls have competed well in every big meet this season.

After the Helena meet, the Ponies will have a week off before competing in the Montana State Swimming Championships, Feb. 10-11 in Great Falls.
