The Havre 15-year-old Babe Ruth all-star team poses for a team photo after winning the Belgrade wood bat tournament last Sunday evening in Belgrade. The team won six games in three days, including three on Sunday to claim the championship.

e Havre all-star team attended a wood bat tournament in Belgrade and the squad, led by head coach Matt Jensen, went undefeated, winning six games in three days to claim the title.

Havre opened the tourney last Friday with a win over Billings 6-2. On Saturday, Havre beat Missoula 14-13 in thrilling fashion, then one another one-run thriller, 16-15 over Great Falls.

On Sunday morning, Havre beat the Missoula Mud Dogs 14-9 and the Spokane Vipers 8-7 to advance to the championship game.

And in the title bout, Havre was on top of things offensively as it took down the Billings Mustangs 18-4 to win the Belgrade championship.

In the championship game, Havre's Dylan Carpenter and Parker Filius combined to win on the mound.

At the plate, the all-star team got a 4-for-5 performance from Chinook's Travis Roth and a 4-for-5 performance from Chinook's Gavin Gunderson. Ryne Antley also went 3-for-5 in the title game with a homerun.

The Havre 15-year-old all-star team will continue to prep for the state tournament later in July by attending a large tournament this weekend in Kalispell.
