Rocky Boy candidate filing open Tuesday

With five tribal council positions, including the tribal chair, up for election this year, the Chippewa Cree Tribe is opening candidate filing for the positions Tuesday.
Along with the chair position, held by Bruce Sunchild Sr., the four Business Committee seats now held by Brian "Kelly" Eagleman, John "Chance" Houle, Joseph LaFromboise Jr. and Stacey Small are up for election this year.
People interested in running for those positions can file at the tribal office starting 8 a. m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.
The primary election will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, with the winners of that election advancing to the general election Nov. 6.
