Matt Hedstrom began his golfing career a long time ago. At an early age, he learned his craft like everyone else around these parts, on the windswept fairways of Beaver Creek Golf Course in Havre.

Back then, Montana State University-Northern didn't have a college men's golf program, so Hedstrom didn't grow up imagining he would be a Light. And not even during a successful high school career with the Havre Blue Ponies did he think one day he'd be playing golf for the Lights. He hoped he could play college...
