Northern C Update: Knights sneak by Hawks in overtime

GREAT FALLS - The North Star Knights got a game-tying buzzer beater from Bettie Carlon, then shut out Chester/J-I 9-0 in overtime in a 49-40 Northern C win Thursday afternoon in Great Falls. North Star trailed the Hawks 40-38 with :04 left, before Carlon sent the game into overtime. Lisa Carlon scored 14 points and Bettie Carlon added 10 for the Knights, who will play in Thursday night's 7 p.m. semifinal. Brittnee Theel paced the Hawks with 11. C/J-I has to play in a loser-out game Thursday morning at 8 a.m.
