Hunts for Easter eggs are on this weekend

The Havre Optimist Club would like area families with young children to take part in the annual Easter egg dye at Saddle Butte Custom Smoking, tonight at 6.

Approximately 3,000 eggs are expected to be dyed, says Optimist Club member Mike Zook. "We set up coffee cans full of dye and let the children paint the eggs."

The eggs will then be hidden around Optimist Park for Sunday's Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m.

Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at 11 a.m. Ages 1-3 will get to hunt for eggs first, followed by ages 4-5, 6-7 and 8-10. Organizers will hide more than 1,000 Easter eggs outside. People should bring their own container to collect the eggs.

The Havre Eagles Club and the Havre Jaycees will host an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eagles Park. Prizes will be given out afterward at the Eagles Club.
