Man killed in Havre crash

A 31-year-old man was killed in a car crash on 9th Street late Thursday night.

Police are withholding the man's name until relatives are notified.

Police Chief Kirk Fitch the vehicle appeared to be traveling west on 9th Street from 11th Avenue shortly after 11 p.m., when the car left the road and struck a tree near the Skate Park.

Police said the driver, the only occupant in the car, was unresponsive at the scene.

He was taken to Northern Montana Hospital and flown by helicopter to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, where he later died.
