Graduations scheduled across the Hi-Line

High school graduations begin in full force this weekend, as seniors say goodbye to their high schools and start their adult lives.

The final numbers aren’t in, but Havre High School will have the largest graduating class, while only 11 will graduate at Box Elder.

Box Elder and North Star will kick off the ceremonies, both at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Chinook services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the school.

Here is the lineup for area schools:

Box Elder

Jonni Bacon will be the valedictorian as the 11 students are saluted in ceremonies in the gymnasium.

Joel Rossette will be the commencement speaker.

A special presentation will be made to Jonni Bacon, who won scholarship with a full value of $22,000 from the Pathway program.

The scholarship is available to GEARUP schools.

Bacon had to do an extensive paper on a scientific topic.

With the help of the staff at Montana State University-Northern, she did her research project on biodiesel fuel.

The class motto is “Yesterday is but today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream.”

North Star

English teacher Laura Brayko will be the featured speaker at North Star graduation at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Kassidy Hansen and Aron King will be featured as the valedictorian and salutatorian respectively.

Chinook High School

Robert Klingaman will be the valedictorian and Alana Smith the salutatorian as Chinook High School ceremonies begin at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Rocky Boy High School

Thirty-two graduates will receive diplomas at ceremonies at 6 p.m. Thursday at the school.

Tia Watson is the valedictorian and her twin sister, Tyann Watson, is salutatorian.

Big Sandy

Brantley Rutledge will be valedictorian and Kristopher Stiles the salutatorian at 2 p.m, Sunday, May 26 at the school.

Harlem

Harlem High School will graduate at 1 p.m. Sunday. Details were not available.
