Ladies league now under way in Havre

First, the men got started a little over a month ago. Now, the ladies are off and running.

Ladies league kicked off Thursday night at Prairie Farms to the tune of good weather and plenty of good golf by all. On the first night of the season, Golden Spike, Independent Inspection and Prairie Farms each scored 20 points to tie for high-team honors. Connie Peterson was low gross with a solid 44 and Paula Sheppard was low net with a 31.

Last Tuesday night, in men’s league at Prairie Farms, Northern Edge Hunts garnered 20 points for high team. The team is composed of Kyle Sheppard, Nate Baltrusch, Christian Oberquell and Barry Kato. Sheppard, Jeff Jensen and Justin Newton all shot even-par 36’s to share low gross for the night. Lowell Swenson was low net with a 29.5.

And on Wednesday night, D.A. Davidson was high team with 25.5 points. The team is made up of Jim Wirt, Jordy Donovan, Ric Floren and Frank Peterson. Matt Hedstrom fired a 2-under-par 34 for low-gross honors, while Donovan was low net with a 28.5.

The golf column is still seeking league standings, as well as league results from Thursday night men’s league at Beaver Creek Golf Course. Anyone wishing to have more information included in the weekly column should email that info to [email protected] by the Sunday prior to the column running.
