Byron Keith Wright

Byron Keith Wright, 59, passed away Thursday evening at the Northern Montana Hospital of congestive heart failure. His wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with his funeral service 9 a.m. Monday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Havre where he will be laid to rest with his mother Julia. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Byron was born Jan. 8, 1954, in Fort Belknap, Mont., to Charles and Julia (Peeper) Wright. He graduated from high school in Havre and attended Northern Montana College. He worked as a derrick hand in the oil fields.

Byron’s nickname was “Bully Boy” because he picked on everyone he liked or loved.  That was how you knew you were close to his heart. Torturing his nephews was one of his favorite pastimes. In his younger days, he loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to fix cars and any other mechanical item. Byron always put his family and friends before himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Karen Lester; his brother, Leslie Wright; his nephew, Robert Lester; and his nieces,Lorena Johnson and Debbie Wright.

Byron is survived by his one and only true love and the mother of his children, Gwen Goar; his sons, Nick, Dirk and Byron Charles Wright all of Havre; his daughters, Kristen Brown of Homer, Alaska, and Melisa Henry of Havre, Montana; his five grandchildren; his sister, Laura Wright Prochaska; and his brother, Eugene C. Wright.
