Havre City Council confirms library director

Will meet tonight on city budget

The city council met at 7 p.m. Tuesday to appoint Rachel Rawn as the director of the Havre-Hill County Library at a salary of $32,000 a year, allow the Havre Art Association to place a sign on city property to advertise an art show and approved the August claims and manual warrants.

The council will meet again tonight at 6 p.m. to vote on approving the budget for the next fiscal year. The budget is open to the public at City Clerk Doug Kaercher’s office.
