For the second time this season, Havre High sophomore golfer Jerod Boles earned medalist honors in a varsity tournament. On Saturday at Beaver Creek Golf Course, Boles took first place at the Havre Invitational by shooting a career-low 75. Boles shot a 38 on the front nine, then bettered that score by shooting a 1-over-par 37 on the back nine. Boles helped Havre to a second-place finish in the team race.

Boles is also a standout in boys basketball and tennis at Havre, while playing baseball in the summer.

Chinook senior Makhayla Farmer is picking up right where she left off last volleyball season. Farmer began the 6C East season with a dominant performance, averaging 19 kills and six blocks through two matches this past weekend. In a win over Chester/J-I last Saturday, Farmer tallied 23 kills, seven blocks and eight aces as the Beeters beat the Hawks in a grueling five-set match.

Farmer is already a two-time Northern C volleyball player, as well as an All-State performer in basketball.
