Sandi was born on July 29, 1950, in Havre to Carl and Jean (Gerstenberger) Holden.  She was raised in Havre, graduating from Havre High School.  Following her high school years, she married Robert Butler, and the couple’s union was blessed with two daughters, whom they raised before they divorced.  Sandi worked as a waitress for some time, and then began her 34 year career with the city of Havre, first as a parking meter reader.  She then worked part-time at Parks and Recreation and part-time for the city judge, before moving to her final position as the administrative assistant in the public works department, retiring in 2010. Sandi enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and crocheting. She was a guarded woman, but once you were her friend, she counted you her friend for life. She was upfront in all dealings, a very hard worker and incredibly loyal. But most of all, Sandi loved her daughters dearly, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Sandi was preceded in death by her mother Jean Holden; her grandparents; her nephew Jesse Miles; her cousin David Sande Jr .; and her two uncles Ransom Holden and Monty Holden.

She is survived by her two daughters, Angela Linn of Carmel, Ind., and Laura (Jeff) Bemis of Concord, N.H .; her four grandchildren, Alex and Nikki Linn, and Tyler and Jacob Bemis; her father Carl Holden of Great Falls; her sisters Carla (Bob) Miles of Columbia Falls, and Gloria (Al) Davis of Great Falls; her brother Darrell Holden of Great Falls; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her best friend Bonnie Doll.
