Trisha Big Knife, Rocky Boy Volleyball

It’s been a difficult volleyball season for the Rocky Boy Morning Stars. But Trisha Big Knife helped bring a little excitement to the season last Thursday night. In Harlem, the Morning Stars won a four-set thriller, just their second victory of the season.

And Big Knife was the catalyst. She totaled five kills on offense, but her all-around game helped propel Rocky Boy. Big Knife, who also excels in basketball, totaled seven service aces and had nine digs in the victory.

Ned Malone, Havre Football

He didn’t have double-digit tackles and he didn’t have a bunch of catches for a bunch of yards in Havre’s stunning 25-21, come-from-behind win over Lewistown last Friday night at Blue Pony Stadium. But senior defensive back Ned Malone made one of the biggest plays of Havre’s season. Malone, who missed three games with an illness earlier this season, capped off senior night by intercepting a pass at the goal line with just seconds left to preserve Havre’s win. Malone, a two-year, two-way starter for the Ponies, also excels in tennis and hockey.
