Provost candidate withdraws

William Baker, an academic dean and candidate for provost at Montana State University-Northern, has withdrawn his candidacy.

Baker was scheduled to have his open interview at the Hensler Auditorium at 2 p.m. Thursday. This meeting is canceled.

The number of candidates is now down to five and the schedule will go on as planned. The next interview will be Friday, when Larry Strizich of MSU-N speaks to the Northern faculty and the community.

The remaining schedule for interviews to replace Rosalyn Templeton as MSU-Northern provost is:

• Larry Strizich — Friday

• John Shoup — Dec. 9

• William Rugg — Dec. 11

• Michael Oudshoorn — Dec. 16

Each interview is 2 p.m. at the Hensler Auditorium.
