Havre man held on suspicion of murder

Investigation ongoing, charges pending

A 25-year-old Havre man is in the Hill County jail while local law enforcement investigate a suspected murder.

Jordan Carlson, 25, was in the jail this morning held without bond on pending charges of deliberate homicide and parole violation.

The Havre Police Department this afternoon faxed the Havre Daily News a release saying officers were dispatched Sunday about 8 p.m. to the 600 Block of 1st Avenue in response to a report of a disturbance.

Officers and emergency medical responders found an “unresponsive” woman at the scene, and Carlson was taken into custody and is being held at the jail on the pending charges, the release said.

“Investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at a later time,” the release says.

No record of the call to the 600 Block of 1st Avenue appeared in the police dispatch log submitted to the Havre Daily this morning.

More details will be in Tuesday’s Havre Daily News.

Dylan, at the time this article was written, the police had not released any further details in the incident, so we couldn't confirm either the time or the place of death — wether the victim was pronounced dead at the scene or later at the hospital. We'll be following up with more details as soon as they are available.
