MSU-N's Edwards named an NAIA All-American

It was a big first season for Montana State University-Northern junior A’Jha Edwards, and the accolades are pouring in.

Earlier this week, the 6-5 Edwards was named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. Edwards was one of just six Frontier Conference players to earn All-American honors for the 2013-14 season.

Hailing from Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Pima Community College, Edwards averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds per game for the Skylights, helping them finish third in the Frontier and reach their first NAIA national tournament in eight seasons.

Edwards totaled 18 double-doubles this season, while finishing second in the Frontier in rebounding and second in blocked shots. She was also ninth in the league in scoring. Her outstanding performance also earned her First-Team All-Conference honors and Frontier Newcomer of the Year.
