Antique cars destoryed in Blaine Co. fire

A large garage and workshop adjacent to the home of Trish and Skip Taylor was gutted by fire on Wednesday afternoon. Two antique cars and three other vehicles were destroyed.

Havre, Chinook and Harlem firefighters were on the scene of the blaze, on Highway 2 just east of the Hill-Blaine county line.

The workshop was owned by Mike Dolan. Skip Taylor and Dolan lost tools in the fire.

Vehicles destroyed included a '60s-era Mustang, a Model T Ford. a camper and a pickup.

The fire had already engulfed the building when Chinook firefighters arrived on the scene.

There were a series of explosions as the firefighters tried to put out the fire.

The shop belongs to Mike Dolan. Both Dolan and Skip Taylor lost tools, equipment and vehicles in the shop, including a pickup, a '60s era mustang and a Model T. They also lost a camper that was beside the shop.

A trailer house adjacent to the workshop that belongs to Taylors sustained some damage. The damage was confined to the corner of the trailer nearest shop. Havre firefighters said the home was repairable, but the workshop/garage was destroyed.

No one was home at time of fire. Skip Taylor was in Havre when fire broke out, and Trish Taylor is out of the state.

Neighbors rounded up two of the family's dogs.

Chinook firefighters summoned help from Harlem and Havre fire departments.

So sorry. What a loss. Be thankful no lives were lost. How unforunate. Skip is such a funny guy.
