Havre Junior bowler Max Olson poses with his plaque after taking fifth place at the Pepsi Challenge in Butte last weekend.

The Annual Pepsi Challenge Tournament was held in Butte at Star Lanes May 3-4.

A total of four junior bowlers from Havre made the trip to the Mining City. Those participating were Brandon McLain, Max Olson and brothers, John and Riley Klein. John and Brandon placed 32nd and 33rd, respectively in their division, while Riley was on the alternate list. Max Olson however, managed to bowl well enough to earn a $120 scholarship in his division, by taking fifth place.

Saturday, Max rolled scores of 124, 119, 142 and 161, for a 549 series. Then Sunday he had scores of 167, 172, 129, 105, 139 and 143 — most of which were career highs. He also received a plaque for his accomplishment.

Hi-Line Lanes would like to congratulate the four boys for their fine bowling.
