Gayle Wallace Tuck

Gayle Wallace Tuck, 84, of Ephrata, Washington, passed away at his home on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014.

He was born on February 5, 1929, to Edward Davis and Ivy May Tuck of Chinook, Montana. Gayle married his loving wife, Ruth Ernestine Tuck, March 23, 1966.

Gayle finished his schooling, and when he was 18 years old entered the United States Air Force. He served from 1947-1968 as a staff sergeant working with nuclear weapons. Then he worked for the civil service until he retired in 1985.

Gayle received the Occupational Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Longevity Service award during his service.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Senior Citizens League. Gayle enjoyed fishing, traveling and woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Lee Bennett of Ephrata, Washington; and his stepchildren, Richard and Stephen Granell and Patricia Greytak, all of Havre, Montana, and Sheryl Leight of Summors, Montana; and his grandchildren, Aaron Tuck of Cody, Wyoming, Kasey O’Dell of Cashmere, Washington, and Patrick and Steffon Bennett of Ephrata, Washington.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Highland Cemetery, with a reception following afterwards at the 15 West sports bar and grill.
