Kathleen 'Kay' Olson

Kathleen "Kay" Olson, 86, passed away peacefully June 17, 2014, in Spokane, Washington, where she resided the past seven years to be near her children.

She was born May 4, 1928, in Laurel, Montana, to David and Katie Wagner. After graduating from Chinook High School, Kay attended cosmetology school in Billings. She owned the Salon Beau Monde Beauty Salon in the Havre Hotel in the early '50s.

Kay married Howard G. Olson in 1952 and was married for 50 years. Those years were spent at their property on Duck Lake every summer making a lifetime of memories. Howard preceded her in death in 2003. Kay was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Havre along with the Ladies Circle and Bible Study Group.

She is survived by daughters, Sandra (John) Blair and Linda Ehry; son, David (Jill) Olson; sister, Shirley Dickson; brother, Ed Wagner; grandchildren, Kathy Jo and Christopher Blair, Nicholas and Daniel Ehry, Molly and Vanessa Olson; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be June 26, at 1 p.m., at the First Lutheran Church in Havre, with a reception to follow at the church.
