Hazy conditions reach hazardous levels in much of Montana

Smoke from fires in state of Washington have created unhealthy hazy conditions in several Montana cities, especially those in the western part of the states.

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality says that in Missoula, Butte and Hamilton the air has reached unhealthy conditions.

There is no air quality station in Havre, but Great Falls was at healthy levels, while in Malta, the conditions were unhealthy for sensitive groups, such as those with lung diseases.

The department said conditions were likely to remain the same or worse for next week unless there is some unexpected changes in weather patterns.
