Sheryl Dee Jones

Sheryl Dee Jones, 52, of Box Elder, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at her residence of natural causes.

A visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., all on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Box Elder.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, also at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rocky Boy Cemetery. Sheryl Dee was born on March 14, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, to Henry and Lorraine (Houle) Jacobs. She was raised in El Monte, California, attending school there. Sheryl Dee was blessed with seven children. She and the children lived in El Monte before moving to Burley, Idaho, and then on to Las Vegas, Nevada, before relocating to Rocky Boy in 1999, where she finished raising her children. Sheryl Dee worked at Box Elder School as a groundskeeper and cook, and at the Northern Winz Casino as a housekeeper.

Sheryl Dee liked having company over to visit; watching “old time” movies, such as Abbott & Costello, John Wayne, I Love Lucy and movies about wolves and vampires. She adored her family and her animals.

Sheryl Dee was preceded in death by her children, Anthony Ornelas and Sharee Ochoa; her mother, Lorraine Jacobs; and her grandparents.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Jason Rosette) Ornelas of Box Elder, Sonni Ochoa of Havre, and Makaela Ochoa of Glasgow; her son, Joshua and Daniel Ochoa, both of Box Elder; her 10 grandchildren; her sisters, Terry (John Sandoval) LaRocque of Mareno Valley, California, Janet Grajeda of Box Elder, and Mary-Jo Jones of Butte; her brothers, John LaRocque and Patrick Jones, both of Box Elder, Marlin (Tina) Jones of Havre, and Jeffrey (Stacy) Jones of Box Elder; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
