Obituary - Paige McKenzie Evans

Paige McKenzie Evans, of Las Vegas, passed from this Earth Sept. 11, 2014, after complications from a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 10, 1996, to Robert and Jamie Evans, she was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, attended Clark County public schools, graduating high school in three years. She was an avid reader, sketch artist and photographer. She wrote poetry and was writing her first novel at the time of her passing.

She was an intelligent, compassionate and incredibly kind young woman. She was loved by all and admired for her thoughtfulness and kind nature. Those who knew her were amazed at her wisdom and insight that was beyond her years. She always had her own in-depth view and take on the world. She will be remembered for her strength, determination and strong will.

Paige is survived by her parents; grandparents, Tiger and Lolly Evans of Havre, Mont., and Phyllis Dorman of Las Vegas; her sister, Jordan (nee Evans) and her husband, Trevor Petersen of Las Vegas; aunts and uncles, Jim and Brenda Evans, Steve and Airyn Evans, Don Evans and Sabre Houston, Brett and Patti (nee Evans) Hickman and Tom Evans all of Havre, and Stacey Sherrard of Las Vegas; cousins, Michael, Kristi and Kody Hickman, Laura and Sammy Evans, Clint and Jaclyn Evans, Chase and Shelby Evans, all of Havre, and Kayla Sherrard of Las Vegas. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas.
